About this site

This site is a little experiment into writing, Indie web and digital gardening. I used to make big splashy websites but this time I wanted to make it as simple and lean a writing and reading experience as possible. Somebody once said my website had "positive and soothing vibes" which is bang on what I was going for.

Most of my digital garden is not published to the web at this point - I'm working on it.

The site uses a custom Eleventy template; the content is written in Obsidian and uses the Enveloppe plugin to publish to Github + Netlify. Fonts are Newsreader + Avenir (if you have it installed, Helvetica or Arial if you don't). I don’t use AI for the content of this site but did use it to help me with the codey bits.

Previously I was using the Obsidian Digital Garden plugin, which I definitely recommend for anyone who wants more of a digital garden than a traditional blog, or doesn't want to mess around with custom Eleventy templates.
